2. Local Media Processing

All media detection, video analysis, and download processing are performed entirely on your local device. V-Down does not route your downloads, browsing activity, or network traffic through our servers or any third-party infrastructure. We do not collect, store, or retain information about the media you download.

3. Browser Extension Permissions (VDX)

The VDX browser extension requests permissions such as "webRequest", "activeTab", "storage", "contextMenus", and host permissions including "all_urls". These permissions are required solely to provide the extension's core functionality. Specifically, the "webRequest" permission is used to detect streaming media resources such as HLS (.m3u8) and DASH (.mpd) manifests directly within your browser so downloadable media can be identified. Network requests are inspected locally within your browser only for media detection purposes. This information is processed entirely on your device and is never collected, stored, transmitted, shared, or sold by V-Down.

4. No Advertising or Tracking

V-Down is completely ad-free. We do not use advertising networks, analytics services, cookies, telemetry systems, behavioral tracking technologies, or any third-party trackers to monitor your activity. Your browsing behavior is never tracked by V-Down.

5. Data Sharing

V-Down does not sell, rent, transfer, or disclose user data to third parties. Since user data is not collected during normal operation, there is no personal information available to share.
